Financial Analyst - Mexico City

 

Journal Entry Management

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in accordance with established accounting standards.

Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations for associated member firms.
• Independently handle medium-complexity reconciliations and resolve open items with minimal supervision.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding reconciliation items and ensure timely clearance in the General Ledger (GL).

Period-End Close Activities

• Execute period-end close processes, ensuring all tasks are completed within defined timelines and in line with process guidelines.

Daily Operational Support

• Provide comprehensive daily support to member firms, addressing routine and ad hoc requests efficiently.

Service Level Achievement

• Consistently meet or exceed performance targets and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) within specified deadlines.

Process Excellence

• Deliver all assigned activities with accuracy and adherence to “first time right” principles, following defined process guidelines.

Technical Expertise

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL) accounting and Record-to-Report (RTR) processes.
• Possess a solid understanding of accrual and prepaid accounting principles.
• Maintain and update GL master data as required.

Inter-Firm Transactions

• Manage inter-firm billing and accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant policies.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Communicate independently and effectively with stakeholders, providing timely analysis and solutions for various activities.
• Compile and analyze data for business insights, promptly identifying and reporting exceptions.

Issue Identification and Resolution

• Recognize routine issues related to accounting principles and practices, and proactively address them.
• Independently analyze assigned activities and recommend solutions to stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, or MBA in Finance, with 2–5 years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR) and reconciliation processes.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Proactive, with good verbal and written communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented and strong analytical thinker.
• Able to research and draw accurate conclusions, even with incomplete or unclear data.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with reconciliation tools like Blackline and SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
