We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic innovation team within the Reporting & Analysis (R&A) Center of Excellence (CoE). The R&A CoE sits within Deloitte’s Global Finance Services (GFS) organization, which supports the US firm and other Member Firms with all aspects of financial management reporting and analysis. The R&A CoE is comprised of analytical, financial, and reporting professionals that align reporting with the strategic priorities of our businesses. The team is responsible for designing and driving the future of management reporting for all levels of firm leadership. We continuously seek innovative ways to create new financial management reporting solutions and enhance and optimize existing deliverables.

 

This role is to help drive the implementation of end-to-end financial management reporting solutions and analysis that provide our business leaders with the timely information and insight they need to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with our business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, design reporting solutions, and working with our development team aid in developing and deploying these solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Promote and drive demand for our services by compiling and analyzing financial data to produce accurate and timely financial reports
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports that help identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions

 

Service Delivery and Project Management

  • Use business, financial reporting, and analytical expertise to manage complex special projects
  • Translate business reporting requirements into leading practice report design and visualization (i.e., report wireframes)
  • Support all aspects of the report development lifecycle from requirements gathering, solution design and development, client review and accceptance, to post-deployment
  • Develop training materials and quick reference guides to help promote adoption of new management reporting solutions
  • Support/Lead initiatives to increase both Finance and business leaders’ understanding of financial performance
  • Monitor reporting leading practices and technology for solution insights, direction and methods
  • Continuously innovate by identifying opportunities to improve our CoE processes, tools, templates, and systems

 

Relationship Management

  • Develop trust-based relationships with our finance business partners to positively influence the direction of the firm
  • Demonstrate ownership of client and project stakeholder relationships
  • Establish and demonstrate subject matter expertise that others call upon for advice and guidance
  • Possess effective communication skills and ability to craft and tailor the message to the audience
  • Work closely with other teams to gather necessary information and provide insights that support project objectives
  • Foster a collaborative culture based on teamwork, talent development, mentoring, and coaching

Qualifications

 

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills with a minimum of 5 years working experience in financial reporting and analysis, with accomplishments in the following areas:
    • Reporting solution development
    • Financial Planning & Analysis
    • Problem-solving
    • Business process improvement
    • Data analysis and analytical / data modeling techniques
    • Project management

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Proven experience with information management and data modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely
  • Self-motivated with ability to identify and complete projects without continual supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with financial reporting software (e.g., SAP, HANA)
  • Experience with Tableau and/or other visualization and analysis software (e.g., PowerBI)
  • Possess exposure to basic project management techniques
